Best of Fest is our new show that showcases the best entries to different film festivals. This time we are at Doc NYC 2018, a documentary film festival. Mike's years of skanking in the pits was finally put to some use for this review. Rudeboy directed by Nicholas Jack Davies is the story of Trojan Records, the record company responsible for releasing most of the first wave of ska, rocksteady, reggae, whatever you want to call that amazing music that started in Jamaica and went world wide. Far enough for me to grow up hearing its influences in my local punk rock music scene. Rudeboy was beautiful, well told, had an amazing soundtrack, and is fortunate to be able to talk to the pioneers of this legendary style of music. Check this one out if you can.
