Mike And Elaina went out to that hipster indie art house theater in the city and saw The Bad Batch by Ana Lily Amirpour released by Neon. Nominated for a Golden Lion and won a jury prize at the Venice Film Festival, it stars Suki Waterhouse as Arlen, a girl who needs to traverse a dystopian wasteland searching for her identity and purpose who also happens to unfortunately loose her arm. Along the way, encountering Jason Mamoa (Aquaman, Justice League), Keanu Reeves (John Wick), and the legendary Jim Carrey (Jim and Andy, Man on the Moon). They break down the good and bad including the theme, dialogue, style, and soundtrack featuring Karma Chameleon, Die Antwoord and Ace of Base. Is it a pretentious nightmare? Is it Oscar Worthy? Let's dive in.
